Hepatitis is a general term that means inflammation of the liver. Hepatitis B is a serious disease caused by a virus called hepatitis B virus (HBV), that attacks the liver. Hepatitis B virus infects the liver of hominoidae, including humans, and causes an inflammation called hepatitis.
