Ohio Law and Rules Series: On The Ohio Board of Nursing
The State of Ohio was given authority to protect its citizens under the police powers vested in the state by the Constitution of the United States. The Law for Ohio is called the Ohio Revised Code consisting of over fifty volumes. The Ohio Board of Nursing was established and is governed by the Ohio Revised code. Chapter 4723 of the Ohio Revised Code contains the laws regulating the practice of nursing. This chapter is also called the Nurse Practice Act. The Ohio Board of Nursing is authorized by law to enforce Chapter 4723. The purpose of this independent study was prepared to inform nurses of the key points about the Ohio Board of Nursing.
